Batman Forever - DVD podBLAST

One would think that for DM's and PBW's birthday, they might give themselves a break. Watch a good movie. Take a week off.

Nope.

Yet ANOTHER BLASTed Batman movie. It's like another Star Wars franchise.

WOW.

The U2 music video was better than the film. Yes, MUSIC VIDEO.

Okay, here is a Batman that deserves blasting (along with & Robin). You know blasting Returns was a mistake - I could tell you were all changing your minds toward the end.

Anyway, this one has the gayest subtext of all Batman films - duality, the side of yourself you keep hidden, men forming partnerships with each other and ignoring women - it's all there. Really, really gay.

Not there's anything wrong with that, of course.

RiffTrax blows.

If Nelson can charge $4 for that crap then you guys deserve a few bucks off us for you vastly entertaining commentaries. Without a doubt the best alternate DVD commentary site on the planet.

Set up a Paypal account and I'll pitch in. Who knows, if you guys start making a bit of money off this Steve might come back.

Way to blast RiffTrax! Those money-grabbing mediocre bastards (and everyone knows Mike Nelson was nothing compared to Joel).

"Set up a Paypal account and I'll pitch in. Who knows, if you guys start making a bit of money off this Steve might come back."

Indeed.

Wasn't this the one with that horrible Seal song as its theme?

I do give a few redeeming points to bad movies with good theme songs, but Kiss from a Rose wasn't one of those. It was closer to My Heart Will Go On than Glory of Love, I'll tell ya that right now...

I like Mike Nelson and all, but RiffTrax can go sodomize itself. The fact that they charge $2.99 a pop is bad enough, but the fact that RiffTrax isn't even entertaining is a total deal-breaker.

I might as well chime in on RiffTrax, too. The one time I downloaded one of their commentaries I was horribly disappointed. It was obviously pre-scripted, but even then it wasn't funny. Stilted, inane, boring - a total waste of money. I wouldn't listen to another one even if it was free.

P.S. I, too, wouldn't object to coughing up a little something for the adudathuda podblasts. At least you guys are worth it.
