Double Double Damme Damme - DVD podBLAST

The heat is getting to us. As we sign off for a short summer vacation, we leave you with the first ever DVD podBLAST double feature:

Double Impact and Double Team (in that order)

Both starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, one starring him twice, and the other also starring Rebound King and former Flavor of the Month, Dennis Rodman.

Squeamish about hearing your BLASTers chow down? Too bad. Trying to survive 3.5 hours of "The Damme" without eating is impossible, so at the break, we send one of our own down to In 'n Out to grab some Double-Doubles.

Believe it or not, there are even MORE "double" jokes in the BLAST. So, enjoy that.

We'll see you in a month or so.

Just woke up, and I see how long this is. Hoo lord. This'll be a tour de force, won't it?

Enjoy your break, kids. Have fun swimming and volleyballing and having street races with too cool for school greasers!

You should do a Seagal double bill of ON DEADLY GROUND and THE GLIMMER MAN.

Ooh, no no no! I got a better thought.

Old version of a movie and then the remake.

DO THE FUCKING WICKER MAN! Or whatever that damned thing Nick Cage did recently was.

(This is just me pondering what would happen if they did Ju-On and then The Grudge. It's basically the SAME movie XD)

JU-ON was garbage. THE GRUDGE was garbage, too, but slightly easier to follow than JU-ON.

I've been asking for THE WICKER MAN for ages.

Nic Cage in a bear suit karate-kicking women? How can our blasting heroes resist THAT?

The Wicker Man is totally Blastable, but then again, so most movies featuring Leelee Sobieski. It's not that she's a bad actress, it's just that the majority of her movies barely reach higher than mediocrity. Joy Ride was okay, but it's a total ripoff of Duel.

And if there's ever another double-bill, I suggest The Ring 2 and The Grudge 2. I liked the first Ring and Grudge movies, but I'll be damned if the sequels weren't pure unmitigated torture.

Hmmm....you guys should totally blast The Core or The Day After Tomorrow.

I think a Steven Seagal movie would be too easy to blast, but if you guys decided to do one, it should be Submerged and/or Attack Force.

Submerged...I hate that fucking movie. The title isn't even relevant to the plot! Neither is the cover art to the DVD!

It featured a submarine on the cover, so logically you would think that it would mainly take place on a submarine right?

WRONG.

Seagal only stays "Submerged" or ten minutes.
